Degrees and titles and paint clothes, oh my!

As the old saying goes, If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll wind up someplace else! Sometimes, even when you think you know where you’re going, you wind up someplace else. At least that’s been my experience!

I began my adult-ing adventure as a struggling single mom, well informed on what I did not want more of!

Over the next 10 years I learned my way from an R.N. and on to Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA.

I served the Presbyterian Church (USA) for 25 years as a pastor and pastoral counselor, as well as editor for Monday Morning magazine and special to Presbyterian News Service.

Much of my pastoral work has been with couples and families. I’ve been a certified leader for the Developing Capable People program for more than 30 years and have mastery level training in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Neuro-linguistic Programming.

Eventually, I wound up needing to learn to be a contemplative. Years of orthopedic challenges demanded that I learn to be still, to embrace—or be devoured by—change. Writing became my work in the world.

In 2015, I released two #1 Bestsellers, Grandmothers Are In Charge Of Hope and WE GATHER TOGETHER…holiday feasts with the family you have!

The second, expanded edition of Grandmothers Are In Charge Of Hope was released in 2016.

Let’s Boil Bones…Grammy’s guide to bone broth and other yummy things! launched as a bestseller in the Kindle version in Nov. 2016.

I’m also honored to be part of an anthology project called Breathing Words…a year of writing together which became an Amazon bestseller in September of 2017.

In July of 2023, an anthology project titled turning point, volume 2 was published as an Amazon #1 bestseller. I’m honored to be a featured author with a chapter called Creating a Map of Reality! and to have my Intentional Creativity® Insight painting, She Takes Her Place Among the Matriarchsselected for the cover art

My partner, Bill, and I are the delighted grandparents of two inspiring girls in the tween/teen phases of their journeys.

While my original art form will always be words, I followed a suggestion from my friend, Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy (aka SARK) which led to a surprising encounter with Shiloh Sophia McCloud and the world of Intentional Creativity®

These days I invest my time exploring my ancestral and spiritual lineage, doing my own work on the Intentional Creativity® path, and living my dream of guiding others to claim their SuperPowers and use them for good in this world, now.

Much of that work includes art supplies and red thread.

Welcome to the path!
