Yep… two of my favorite things! There’s a bit of my favorite wild rice soup thawing for lunch, on this cloudy, between seasons sort of day. That’s always good news!
There are also lots of strategies bubbling in my head. My heart, too, if we’re being real!
And all that bubbling is going on in the context of this world, now. That’s where we come in! Me. You. The people you love. Neighbors. Congregations. Even my new friend, Becca, who’s up to her eyebrows in pulling off the Decatur Book Festival on October 4. (Gulp!!!)
Here’s my favorite thing about strategies… they’re all about my very favorite question:
What are we trying to accomplish???
Really! In this world, now… And, here’s the tricky part: the best answers come from the very core of who we are! And, yes, it can feel scary. Lonely, even, because our very best answers often don’t seem to fit well with the world around us. I’d even go so far as to say that it feels like much of the world around us would really rather we didn’t claim our very best answers. Didn’t act from them. Didn’t live them.
I’ve had way too much of that! We’ve had way too much of that!!!
So… my Strategy Soup recipe is all about sharing what one of my favorite teachers called Concrete Passion & Very Large Hope. And you’re invited!
Here’s the thing, though… you’ve got to take a deep breath, click the magic word, just below, and learn all about the next right thing! Yep… YOU!
Yep! The way to pronounce the Hebrew word you may have noticed in the painting, above. It means both Here I Am and I Am Ready. Ready for what??? To explore. To notice questions. To imagine hope!
ps… the phoenix rising out of the stardust soup could be YOU!
